Gitte: YAY…Ryan and Taryn are back in this much anticipated sequel to Love Unscripted! I read it almost in one go, which considering how Tina spoils us with one meaty and satisfying book is no mean feat!
Jenny: I’ve been dying for this one. I had read big chunks of the story back in January this year and was so eager to see how it all came together and I certainly wasn’t disappointed.
Gitte: When I finished reading I thought of how when fantasy becomes reality how does a relationship survive when that reality can be quite ugly and scary! How far can trust and love really take you to survive and pull through that reality? It would take a lot, a strong person and mutual work and effort that is for sure. Unless you are in it, you cannot judge. However, as I always say, if you choose this life style you do so with your eyes wide open, there is no point buu-huu’ing once you are slam bang in the middle of it because you know the consequences of choosing this life. This life comes with stipulations. It should in no way come as a surprise. However, I do feel for the ‘innocents’ who fall in love with the person who chose this path and are on it only for the love not the life-style.
Jenny:: Ryan and Taryn were so tight that they faced their obstacles together. They were a team, a force and they seemed to have grown in this. I don’t know how you would cope in their situation. It would take a very special person to go through that and an extra special person to stand by their side through all the mayhem….enter two very special people in Ryan and Taryn. I love these two
Gitte: Our Ryan; so yummy, caring, self-effacing and humble. He absolutely loves Taryn, a love that is real, and he stays true to this love and her.
Our Taryn: Bless her, she goes through so much again, but never fails to be like a rock to Ryan.
Jenny: Coming into this book was like catching up with old friends. The characters seem so real and you relate so well to them and I didn’t realise how much I missed them until I picked this book up. They have it together in this, they get it, they’re in love and they will face whatever obstacles are put in front of them….together.
Gitte: In Love Unscripted Taryn & Ryan survived one hell of a journey from which they did not come out on the other side completely unscathed. However, they came out stronger, wiser and more in love despite this. Now they are faced with all sorts of obstacles and people pulling them in different directions, wanting a piece of them and not always in a good way. Ryan is trying so hard to prove to Taryn that this life means nothing if she is not in it. He is waiting on “the straw that broke the camel’s back” because he knows Taryn is going through so much, none of it by choice. He tries to prove again and again that the REAL Ryan is Taryn’s and only hers.
“You’re my world, babe. Mine. Not theirs. They can have me, but they can’t have you, too”
Jenny: Oh swoon! I loved that line in the book….if you hadn’t quoted it I sure would have because I think that line alone summed up the book and Ryans feelings. Taryn was his…..he would love her and protect her and he wasn’t going to share her with the public. That’s one part of him they couldn’t have and I loved that line.
Gitte: As I said earlier, Ryan’s world is pretty screwed up, who’d put up with it? The constant media attention, screaming fans, death threats and no privacy really to speak of! Only LOVE would make you take that in your stride!
Jenny: Let’s not forget to tell everyone how bloody hot this book is!! Tina Reber certainly delivered on the sex front that’s for sure! Wow, these two get have sexual chemistry off the charts. This book has it all….a hot movie star, believable, warm characters, a heroine you love, emotion, romance, humour, just enough drama and hot sex! What’s not to love about this book.
Gitte: I feel like a traitor though after finishing this story. I love Mike, I truly do! Mike the bodyguard; so protective so alpha sexy and for me he dominated the scenes he was in!
Jenny: Well, I’ve heard Tina plans on exploring writing a book about Mike so that should make you happy 😉
Gitte: Overall I loved this book…..I swooned:
“You’re my everything, Taryn” …”You are my heart”
And *sigh* the epilogue!
I had a few tears:
“That was our first and I took that from you. My career….took that from us”
and it had me laughing:
….all I’ll say is “Permanent Marker”, “Broken Vagina” and “God’s don’t poop….
Oh and on a side note I am so hiring Aspinall Catering for my next big event…I hear the Boss gives excellent service!!!
Jenny: Couldn’t have said it better myself GG. This book was beautiful, emotional and had everything I could have wanted. Loved the epilogue….*sigh*.
On that side note….hardy har har – just so you know GG ….. I don’t wash dishes. Note to the author: next time could you make it so I have an affair with the main character…..juss sayin’….wink wink!
Rating: A very emotional ride! 4 stars…..
